This partnership aims to enhance financial inclusion by providing MSMEs with advanced payment solutions that are typically accessible only to larger enterprises.
Earlier this year, Interswitch also expanded its long-standing partnership with ACI Worldwide to drive payments modernization across Sub-Saharan Africa. This collaboration focuses on deploying ACI's Enterprise Payments Platform, which provides comprehensive solutions for retail and wholesale payments, including fraud management and real-time payment processing.
Regional Managing Director at Interswitch, Peter Kawumi, emphasized the company's commitment to building a financially inclusive ecosystem. He highlighted the collaboration with Elie Technologies as a significant step towards reshaping the payment landscape in Kenya.
Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Elie Technologies, Wesley Masinde, described the partnership as a "game-changer" for Kenyan businesses, noting the synergy between Elie Technologies' contactless merchant acquiring soft POS technology and Interswitch's robust switching and card processing capabilities.
