South African fintech, Hello Paisa has taken initiative to broaden its digital remittance network in a bid to ease the burden of money transfer to Zimbabwe (where people are currently in dire need of money) by saving its customers the cost of sending money to Zimbabwe via its platform.
Speaking on this development, Sayjil Magan, Managing Director of Hello Paisa had this to say:
“Zimbabwe is currently facing its own unique hardships economically, and Zimbabweans residing in South Africa are very cognisant of getting support to their family as safely and affordably as possible. As such, we focus on three forms of collection: cash, mobile wallet or bank account transfers, and these cross-border transactions are settled instantly.”
Further deepening its contribution to help Zimbabweans through this tough economic period, Hello Paisa's goods-based remittance product, “Malaicha.com” now makes it possible for Zimbabweans and Malawians living in South Africa to not only easily send money to their loved ones in Zimbabwe via Hello Paisa, but also send essential goods and groceries.
In the same vein, Hello Paisa now offers a free Digital Banking solution to its subscribers which affords them a free bank account to save money.
